G.A.M.B.C.

Greater Antioch Missionary Baptist Church was founded in 1883. Its beginning can be traced back to a field donated to the church.

The first building was located near the present church cemetery in front of the cedar tree. It was a log church with windows made of wood and homemade wooden pews. Years later, the church was moved to the present sight and a plank church was built. In 1956, the plank church was completely torn down and replaced with the present block sanctuary.

During the 1990's the church underwent many structural changes. The pulpit and choir area were remodeled. Three classrooms were constructed, as well as the kitchen and dinning area were enlarged. Other additions were an indoor baptism pool, an additional bathroom in the front of the church, and a new pastor's study. In the beginning of the 2000's the church added the current stained glass windows, new church pews, a new steeple, and a new metal roof. Also the church added a new organ and drum set to its musical instrument collection.

The church continues to grow spiritually under the leadership of Pastor Smith. We are excited to call ourselves, "A Jesus Kind of Church." We invite all to come out and be a part of us as we worship and stay committed to the principles of the Gospel of Jesus Christ!
